Position: Patent Search associate - mechanical engineering

Location: Teleworking **NOTE: This position is for US-based individuals, only**

Pay: Commensurate with experience

Sherman Patent Search Group (SPSG), a premier 100% US-based patent search firm, is currently seeking a contract patent search associate with a strong background in mechanical engineering. Candidate must be US-based. Prior mechanical engineering experience as an Examiner, or patent researcher is required – including experience in FTO, invalidity, and patentability searching. Team-player, impeccable attention to detail, and a quality-first mindset is a must.  

Strong technical acumen (ability to handle complex technologies with relative ease and short learning curve) is essential. For example, candidate must be able to handle technologies outside of mechanical, such as medical devices or electro-mechanical, with ease.  

We have offices in Pasadena, CA - however, remote work will be considered for experienced candidates. This position will initially be a contract position, with opportunity to grow into a full-time role for the right candidate.
